Details of the deal have been revealed but the Malawian found the going tough at the students who are currently league leaders.

The lanky forward has left behind compatriot Gabadinho Mhango who is enjoying his game and has teamed up with another Malawian midfielder Robert Ng’ambi.

Platinum Stars General Manager Senzo Mazingisi confirmed to Kickoff of securing the services of the Malawi national team promising star.

“He has joined us until the end of the season. We are currently busy with his papers so that we register him very soon,” Mazingisi told Kickoff.com.

The 23-year-old holds a South Africa resident permit and is expected to be registered in time for their league game against his former club Wits.

Papa as he is fondly called earned Malawi national football team their first win in the flopped Africa Cup of Nations campaign by scoring the only goal from a long range freekick against Swaziland in September.

But his lack of game time took it toll on his fitness as he struggled until he was substituted.
