Talk is cheap! And as a nation, there is more empty talk than action. More research than field practice. More theorizing and less reality. More “government this” and less “I am doing that”. The development of nations is a result of its people’s initiatives and ownership for real change. Malawi is endowed with resources, vast business opportunities and immense talent. But we would rather be employed by some multinationals that risk creating employ for ourselves and others. Some progress but much to be done. Inflation at over 20% for the past 4 years plus is killing the economy. Why is inflation so high? Our currency the Kwacha is so weak and why because we import far more than we export. Until we start manufacturing our own fertilizer from organic waste, until we stop wasting money on external travel and overseas embassies, until we stop stealing money intended for medicines, until we stop taking foreign currency loans for stupid projects like Bingu Stadium, until we start irrigating our fields and growing surplus soya, groundnuts, sunflower oil, sugar and… Read more »

There is a great need for the dedicated Malawians to stand on the gap. Fellow Malawians, you are indeed christians but more prayerless. We are good at talking but not doing what the word says.
