Silver crock Blessings Tembo out for six weeks

Silver Strikers have revealed midfielder Blessings Tembo faces six weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a Tibia injury.

Tembo got injured in a friendly encounter against Epac F.C. which was organized as part of preparations for the forthcoming soccer season.

Malawi’s top flight TNM Super League kick start on April 18th and the lunching match involve Big Bullets and Silver Strikers at the Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

Two seasons ago, Tembo also spent some months on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury.

Meanwhile, the player has conquered with several players, supporters and soccer commentators that Malawian players are indeed in deed shambles.

He however refused to comment on the recent death of Big Bullets defender Douglas Chirambo.

“Mmm! I don’t have anything to say [on Douglas Chirambo’s death] only God knows but we as players, we have to do something because we are indeed struggling and reaping and doing better are the administrators” Tembo told Nyasa Times.

As part of ensuring that there is a change in the welfare of players, Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has sealed a deal with Medical Aids Society of Malawi (MASM) to ensure all players are on Medical scheme cover.
