Lilongwe rivals Silver Strikers and Civo United will face each other in the 2016 Carlsberg Cup Round of 32 national phase scheduled to commence on.
This follows a draw conducted in Blantyre on Friday evening at the MBC Studios.
The preliminary round games started three weeks ago with 48 teams taking part in all the three regions.
However, there are also other three fixtures that will involve Supe League teams in the round of 32 national stage.
Wizards FC will meet current league leaders Blue Eagles FC while Karonga United will battle it out with the soldiers of Mzuzu Moyale Barracks.
At the Chitowe ground, it will be Mafco playing against Dwangwa United who both use the venue as home ground.
Another interesting fixture will be between Mighty Be Forwards Wanderers who have been drawn against their reserve side.
According to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) who are the main organizers, the round of 16 matches will be played between 5 and 7th August, 2016.
From there, the competition enters the quarterfinal stage to be played between the weekend of 12th and 14th August before the semifinals on 27th and 28th August, 2016.
The 2016 Carlsberg Cup will be played on 10th September at a venue to be decided at a later stage.
The winner of this year’s competition will cut home K12 million while runners up will pocket K5 million.
The semifinalists will receive K700,000.00 each while all teams that will reach quarterfinals will take home K300,000.00.
