Silver now meet either Azam Tigers or Mafco who face off on Sunday afternoon in another semifinal in Lilongwe.

The Bankers and the Nomads had to settle the match in post-match penalties after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.

The Bankers were first to open the score-sheet through Chawanangwa Kawonga in the first half before super substitute Cuthebert Sineta equalized for the Nomads.

But Silver got it right when converting all penalties through Lazarus Nyemela, Frank Banda and Ndaziona Chatsalira. It was perfect revenge against the Wanderers who missed all their spot kicks through Victor Mpinganjira, Mike Kaziputa and Cuthbert Sinetre.

The visitors showed their intention of cashing from Standard Bank MK9 million paycheque, when they swarmed all over the Nomads territory from the word go.

“It’s been a fantastic results. We are now set our eyes on the trophy,” said Silver coach Stan Chirwa.
