Te bankers Head Coach Lovemore Fazili said it was disappointing to bow out of the FISD Challenge Cup.

But Fazili said since the defeat, the club has been strategizing on how to beat KB considering the ongoing tight competition amongst teams in contention for the league title.

“We are right now strategizing on how we are going to approach our next game against Kamuzu Barracks. The approach will be to attack through out and we are trying our best to make sure that the boys are
mentally and physically stable and prepared,” Fazili said .

Fazili admitted that they are under pressure considering the fact that they have two games in hand comparing to leaders Nyasa Big Bullets who have played 25 games and have accumulated 45 points.

“It will be another difficult game but a different one all together; that was a cup game and this is a league game. The pressure is there but  am confident we can do it, we can’t allow them to beat us again for the second time,” Fazili said.

Blue Eagles and Mafco FC are other joint leaders with 45 points from from 24 games respectively.

Another repeat of FISD Cup Challenge semifinal clash will be staged at the Nankhaka Stadium where sixth placed Mighty Be Forward Wanderers play away to the home side Blue Eagles.

The high flying nomads defeated the corps 1-0 last Saturday at the Kamuzu Stadium to reach the finals of the prestigious newly established FISD Challenge Cup.

The Eagles will also be looking for a revenge simply to collect maximum points inorder to extend their chances of grabbing the TNM Super League title.

On the other hand, Wanderers who have 41 points from 25 games will be looking for nothing apart from victory to squeeze themselves into the top four.

Another in form club which has resurrected from it’s first round death bed Red Lions have already given up on grabbing the title and revealed they are only looking for a top eight finish.

According to Assistant Coach Prichard Mwansa, it hasn’t been easy to bring back the team to life and believes it the pace and shape taken by players maintained, nothing can stop them from penetrating into the top eight.

“It is possible to move from where we are to jump into the top eight that is if the boys maintain the pace they have taken. We sat down with them and encouraged them that is why you have witnessed a
tremendous change” Mwansa explained.

The Zomba based soldiers are now on position nine with 35 points from 25 games folowing their win over fellow soldiers Moyale Barracks from Mzuzu at the Zomba Community Centre Ground.

Their strength will be tested and measured again this coming Saturday as they host third placed Mafco FC.

With leaders Nyasa Big Bullets not in action until Sunday, Blue Eagles, Mafco and Kamuzu Barracks stand a chance of ascending to the top.
