Available in a variety of languages – Sort Africa allows visitors from all over the world to search for businesses by industry, speciality or location; compare listing details and contact companies directly from their profile page at no cost to the customer.

According to Thabo Tembo as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).Sort Africa started with a group of Africans from Malawi and South Africa who had a desire to create a single source of business information for the continent – a place where African businesses could become more accessible to each other and to the rest of the world.

“For businesses, Sort Africa offers a unique platform for them to build an online business identity to reach new customers from across the entire continent and beyond thereby extending the boundaries of their individual niche markets and maximising their commercial potential.

“Furthermore, it is a way for businesses to add another touch point to their communication mix through the ability to publish business content to their profile pages and strengthen their lead generation and drive more traffic to their own websites,” a statement by Tembo said.

He sad the aim of Sort Africa is to increase the online visibility of all African businesses at a local, regional and international level.

“We want to promote the good in Africa, the big and the small business owners and the unique services and products that our countries offer. We believe that Sort Africa can achieve this in time by providing every business with an equal opportunity to thrive online,” said Tembo.

Sort Africa business subscriptions are competitively priced and structured to offer good value for a range of benefits including extensive advertising and online visibility; uploading of articles, photographs and videos; product listings; business reviews; job listings and property listings to name but a few.

There is also a free basic listing service for small companies and service providers that will provide them with the opportunity to create an online business profile without the expense of building their own individual websites.
