South Africa’s DJ Oskido fools Malawi music fans twice

Local music fanatics will surely have no kind words for the South Africa house music star, Dj Oskido who made fool of them twice in a period of less than two weeks when he failed to turn up for performances.

Dj Oskido was billed to perform at Limbe Country Club in Blantyre over the weekend but the organizers, Platinum Entertainment and Entertainers Promotions were forced to pull it off at eleventh hour after he allegedly missed his flight.

Surprisingly, Oskido was one of the performers at Dreamers Celebration in Soweto on Saturday in an even that included his long time music friends, Professor as well as Uhuru.

However, this is not the first time for the ‘Tsa Mandebele’ hit single artist to disappoint local music enthusiasts as he failed to show up for another show scheduled for Lilongwe a week ago.

Entertainers Promotions proprietor, Jai Banda said were disappointed with incident after had already paid the artist in full and, had incurred expenses in promoting the much touted concert.

“His manager said they missed a flight and we had no choice but to cancel the show. It’s very disappointing because we have been let down. I will surely follow it up and see how far we resolve this issue,” Jai Banda said while sounding upset.

Banda has since disclosed would travel to South Africa to sort the issue out while banking that fans still have trust in them as organisers.

Skeffa Chimoto and Real Sounds was expected to curtain-raise the show alongside King Chambiecco, BlakJak, Gwamba and Nesnes.

Dj Oskido joins the list of South African artists who have developed a tendency of hoodwinking Malawian audience, another one is Big Nuz who failed to turn up for the Sunbird Sand Music Festival last year.
