Sparc managing director, Wisely Phiri, said they will bankroll the Premier Division side would K5 million for a year s subject to some conditions, including discipline and performance.

“We expect to propel them team to earn promotion into the flagship TNM Super League next season,” Phiri said.

Phiri said they have been supporting them before deciding to sponsor them fully after they had submitted their sponsorship proposal which was about K3.4 million ($7 556).

“When we evaluated we increased it to K5 million per season,” he said.

“We started assisting them last year by, among other things, providing them with equipment, but this time we have decided to go full-scale,” said Phiri.

Phiri said the sponsorship caters for various activities including transportation, accommodation, food and other logistical requirements.

“The sponsorship is for a year subject to review depending on the target that we have set, which is earning promotion into the Super League. Accountability will also be key in determining our future relationship,” said Phiri.

The club’s general secretary Isaacs Zimba said they are lucky to be one of the few teams in the lower leagues to have sponsorship from from IT services firm Sparc Systems Limited.
