Silver wins in Lilongwe derby over Civo

Silver Strikers FC have  intensified their bid to defend their  TNM Super league after beating their capital city rivals, Civo United by 2 goals to 1 at Silver Stadium.

The Bankers, who are still on the second position with 42 points opened the score sheet in the capital city derby through Peter ‘Shoes’ Mgangira before Rodrick Gonani increased the tally.

However, the civil servants equalized one goal courtesy of Wadson Kandulu.

As it stands, Escom United still top the table with 43 points while Mighty MTL Wanderers on third position with 39 points.

The Nomads are also the only team without conceding any defeat in away games.

Escom United is the only team that has never conceded any defeat but the team which has drawn many games w.

Nkhata Bay United is the only team that has lost a number of games, 20.
