State House press officer to leave as hubby gets posting to Malawi’s UN office

State House Press Officer Ruth Govati Sandram is leaving her post as she follows her husband to United States where he has has been entrusted with the job of serving as Malawi’s

first secretary at the United Nations (UN) by the Malawi government.

Timothy Sandram, former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation Television (MBCTv) personality
who wedded Ruth few months ago will be responsible in expressing and handling all Malawi interests to various UN departments.

Sandram has been working as as Principal Senior Officer in the Ministry of Information and Civic Education.

Sandram: To begin a tour of diplomatic duty at UN

“Yes I have been reassigned duties from the Ministry of Information and Civic Education to become first secretary (UN Committes)” Sandram told official news agency, Mana.

“My appointment is with effect from 8th October and I should be reporting for duties very soon”.

State House had three press officiers including Ruth, Tusekele Mwanyongo and Brian Banda. The Press Seretary is Steve Nhalne.

And there are press assistants who include Living Kalimanjira and Fallus Ngalauka.

Meanwhile, Nyasa Times understands that Kalimanjira has also got a posting to Malawi mission in US.
