On Tuesday,  May 10, Mighty Be Forward Wanderers,  who beat Cobbe Barracks 3-1 in the first round played last Tuesday, date Songani Veterans at Kamuzu Stadium while Big Bullets, who beat Sable Farming 5-1 meet MDF Marine on Wednesday,  May 11 also at Kamuzu Stadium.

Silver Strikers, who massacred little-known Chulu 12-0, now face Dedza Young Soccer Reserves at their home turf next Tuesday while Azam Tigers meet Umodzi at Kalulu Stadium

Red Lions meet Nsanama at Balaka Stadium while Wizards FC face Partners in Health at Mpira Stadium.

Disqualified

Meanwhile, Footbaĺl Association of Malawi (Fam) has announced that Victory Rangers of Thyolo have been disqualified from the tournament for causing abandonment of the match when they refused to continue play in their match against Hard Knockers when the scores were 1-1.

Hard Knockers have now won the match and proceed to the second round where they will play Max Bullets.

I think we should take an example from other leagues like Premier, La Liga, Bundas Liga from Europe. Big teams have their own competitions and trophies. I have never heard of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United taking part with small teams in the same cup. Malawi should also give chance to small teams to sort each other out. Taking Big Bullets to play with MDF Marine is just like taking a Standard 8 pupil to compete with a Form 4 Student in top of the Class quiz contest. This is a miss match.
