Super League of Malawi impressed with Kamuzu Barracks

Super League of Malawi is impressed with the performance of Kamuzu Barracks  (KB) for taking the lead at the end of first round.

Kamuzu Barracks have taken the league by storm in their second season in the top league having lost one game eight wins and five draws.

“Congratulations to Kamuzu Barracks for emerging champions in the 2013 Carlsberg Cup as well as finishing tops in the first round of the TNM Super League.

”We have now concluded the first round and teams should prepare themselves well for the concluding round. Our target still remains to finish by December,” said Sulolom in a press release.

Sulom Treasurer Tiya Somba Banda also saluted the emerging football forces.

“The KB project is worthy to be praised and emulated. Congratulations are in order to Kamuzu Barracks for the success this far,” Somba Banda said.

“They have blended well a mixture of experienced players like Harvey Mkacha, Davie Banda with young hungry players and the results are just amazing.”

Super League rookies Evirom FC from Southern Region, Mponela United of Central Region  and Mzuzu United of the Northern have found the going tough as they are languishing in the relegation zone.

They have secured nine points each and need to pull their socks to survive.

Moyale are the highest scoring teams with 25 goals each and Azam Tigers who have not lost at home are having a water tight defensive set up after letting in only 6 goals.

Blue Eagles are yet to lose away while Mponela United are yet to win at home.
