ESCOM Sisters on Sunday grabbed the K8 million Standard Bank national netball trophy after beating MTL Queens by 47 baskets to 46 at Mzuzu Stadium.
They went away with K1.7 million and runners up MTL Queens got K1 million.
Civonet came in third position after beating Kato Sisters  53-31, went away with K700,000.

Director of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Alex Nampota has explained that the bureau has jurisdiction to stop an industrial strike.
ACB on Wednesday called off the strike by workers of Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom).

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday morning ordered the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom) Workers Union President from making any contract, negotiations and organising the employees into demanding a Christmas gift from management or the board.
