Tay Grin , Pop Dogg dates Notts for Miss Malawi UK launch pre-party

Malawi’s hip-hop singer Tay Grin will this Saturday date Malawians in Nottingham and its surrounding areas for a music show in a final leg of his UK tour.

Tay Grin also known as Nyau King whose real name is Limbani Kalirani, first played his first UK leg gig at the Commonwealth Festival in Glasgow on July 28 before hosting another concert in Manchester.

He will gang up with another Malawian Ireland based hip-hop artist, Pop Dogg to spoil patrons with an exhilarating night of music and dance.

The Nottingham music spectacle which will be held at Hyson Green Youth Club and has been organised by H&K Events Management and Promotion, organisers of Miss Malawi UK .

It is a farewell party for Tay Grin who leaves the UK for Malawi, Sunday evening. It  will also be a pre-launch shindig for the 2014 Miss Malawi UK slated September 13th 2014, in Birmingham.

In an interview with Nyasa Times, H&K Events Management and Promotion managing partner Kondi Bowoyeke Munthali said free food and drinks will be served all night long during the party and encouraged Malawians and friends of Malawi to come in large.

Said Boyowoke Munthali: “There will be lots of fun and merrymaking at the party and we encourage Malawians in Nottingham to come in their large numbers as two of Malawi’s most celebrated hip-hop icons will come face to face to entertain and thrill music lovers with an electrifyingly sizzling performance.”

Munthali added that there will be a small entry cover charge of £20 to the party and explained that it will be eat-as-much and dance-as-you-drop as well as other interesting stuff throughout the night.

“During the night, there will also be a special presentation of the inaugural Malawian Queen UK floating trophy which was recently won by the Nottingham Malawi Socials Football team. So as you can see entertainment on the night, will be a variety,” said Bowoyeke Munthali.

H&K Events Management and Promotions marketing managers Bettie Guwa aka Abiti Khologeti and Masida Kumwenda told Nyasa Times in a separate interview that the response has so far been overwhelming saying they can’t wait for the biggest summer party of the year.

The show will be hosted by www.247malawiradio.com a UK based online radio DJ Noriega Bee, Nottingham based spinner, DJ Josey of Zelina Music Company.

In another interview the Two by Two hit maker, Tay Grin who is no stranger to performing on the international stage, promised to give out his best shot in entertaining his UK fans and all Malawians and friends of Malawi who will patronise the show.

“I am indebted to my UK fans for their support and promise that in my final show in Nottingham this SaturdayI will give nothing but the best. I am geared to give a best performance and I am encouraging Malawians to come and support us. It will be an exciting time for everybody,” said the Channel O award winner.

On his part Pop Dogg said he is ready to enchant the fun seekers to the very core promising a night of music thunder and great entertainment.

Said Pop Dogg: “I am ready to rock the night out and give nothing but a supa-dupa entertainment. I encourage everybody to come and enjoy the spoils.”
