The perfect will of God for your life

Once we receive the Lord Jesus Christ, we become heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ through what Jesus Christ has accomplished on the Cross. As a child of God, the Lord has a perfect will for our lives and in other words we are very important in the kingdom of God.

The idea is that our focus should be in the will of God for our lives, which is the most wonderful, fulfilling life there could ever be. It is actually the Holy Spirit that brings about the will of God, and helps us to walk in that will, doing what the Lord wants us to do because within our own capabilities it is impossible to do the will of God. We may want to please God with our self but it is impossible because our will looks on the physical side while God’s will is spiritual and always the best for His children.

Just remembering how Elisha prayed to God to open his servant’s eye so that he could be able to see that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around about Elisha (11 Kings 6:17). The Holy Spirit actually allowed this to happen so that we may understand that God is always working on our behalf even in situations that we do not think or see His perfect will in our lives.

In every situation that things may not look good we should realize that we have a God who is very powerful and always wanting to take over each and every aspect of our lives if given a chance to do so for His will is always the best.

We may make plans or decisions based on what we can see with our physical eye, but if we let God guide us in those plans, things will be different. Many people have messed up their lives because of leaving out God in all their plans.

As we have entered the new year, let us be people who can listen to God and be able to do according to His perfect will. His plan is to bless us, and make sure that we are living according to His perfect will which can be accomplished by believing and trusting in what Jesus Christ has accomplished for us on the Cross. God has God plans for His children and only if we live according to His perfect will. Delight to do thy will, O my God: Yea, thy law is within my heart (Psalms 40:8).
