Thindwa joins Mighty Wanderers on loan from Zimbabwe’s Caps

Be Forward Wanderers FC General Secretary Mike Butao has confirmed that prolific marksman Ishmael Thindwa has joined the nomads from Harare giants, Caps United on loan.

Butao said all discussions between the two teams have been finalized to bring back the former Epac United back home.

“It’s indeed true that Ishmael Thindwa has joined Wanderers from CAPS United on loan. What is remaining is to agree on personal terms with him,” Butao said.

He said the gangling forward would provide a buffer for the striking force as the Blues have a good number of striking options this season.

“Some may ask why we have done this yet we have other highly rated strikers, which is true. But despite that we still saw that we have problems with scoring goals. So, as everyone knows Thindwa is a player who can solve this problem. He is always on top of his game.”

Thindwa scooped the golden boot award in the Malawian top flight in 2013 having clinched the same accolade in 2011 and his joining will boast the team and bring joy to Nyerere fans.

The development comes after the player revealed that he would be leaving the club for home because of lack of game time at the Zimbabwe top league outfit.
