The three priests are Fr. Michael Chimderenji of Nguludi Parish, Fr. Johnnie Chimwaza of St Martin Parish and Fr. Lazarus Zulani of Nyungwi Parish.

The Silver Jubilee celebration started with a mass which was celebrated  by His Grace Archbishop Thomas Msusa.

In his speech, Archbishop Msusa hailed the three priests for serving the church with dedication and honest.

He said the three priests are role models to the upcoming priests and urged them to continue serving the Lord and Church with much dedication.

His Grace also advised  other priests in the Archdiocese to be exemplary when discharging their duties to the people they are serving in a bid to attract more Christians to the kingdom of God.

Speaking on behalf of  priests, Fr. Zulani  thanked God  for seeing the three of them all the years in priesthood, stressing the road was full of ups and downs.

He said God continued to show his greatness by keeping them alive to mark 25 years in priesthood.

“It is a pity that out of the six priests in our group, who were ordained together by the late Archbishop James Chiona only four  are still alive. May their souls rest in eternal peace,” he observed.

Before the mass, there was a luncheon inside the Limbe Cathedral Hall where the jubilant priests assisted by Archbishop Msusa cut the jubilee cake.
