Both teams have 27 points, but Thunder Queens have a better goal aggregate. Thunder Queens have also played 11 games, while Alliance have played 13 games.

Kukoma Diamonds are still on top of the table with 39 points after they also won against Chilomoni Sisters in an early kick-off.

Back in the court yard, an error-strewn first half left Shizaella 15 baskets  behind, but they recovered in an exhilarating second  quarter but they could match Thunder Queens.

It was a physical third quarter, Thunder Queens led by their inspirational captain Joana Kachilika  produced a strong defensive display and out-witted Shizaella  attack to take  another lead at half-time.

The  presence of  players like Pido and Thandiwe Saenda  proved the difference in the last quarter, as  Thunder produced a stunning performance.

As Shizaella  began to tire, the experienced Kachilika, Thandiwe  helped their side  see out the game.

And the much improved Thunder Queens side   held their nerve to seal their victory, to keep them on course to displace Alliance on third slot.
