TNM brings ‘smart data’ at Poly social weekend: Gives about K1 million
Premier Service provider, TNM has announced the sponsorship of about K1 million towards Polytechnic Students’ Social weekend slated for the weekend of 6th to 7th March 2015.
The sponsorship is under ‘Smart data” campaign which aims at giving TNM customers absolute power to choose from a wide scope of TNM Smart data offerings.
TNM Smart data is TNM’s latest innovation that has since repositioned and enriched customers’ TNM internet experience. Customers can access Smart bundles based on what they would eventually wish to access on the internet, hence the slogan ‘power to you.’ Smart data has various bundle categories such as Smart Social, Smart Surf, Smart Start, Smart standard and Smart business.
The variety in the offerings is available in various channels of communication including the TNM website and Facebook page respectively. For students, Smart WhatsApp is ideal for interaction. However, Smart Surf and Smart Standard bundles are more relevant for intensive download volumes. Power is handed over to the customer to choose.
Announcing the sponsorship, TNM Chief Commercial Officer Daniel Makata said Smart Data is a very useful innovation as it simplifies students’ access to information on the internet needed in their academic and social undertakings.
“We want to reach out to students with Smart Data because TNM believes that variety of choice on internet bundles is very essential so that each student decides according to their needs” said Makata.
Makata said the social weekend will provide a platform for students to appreciate Smart Data through a Smart Data Students’ promotion in which lucky students will win Smartphones, Dongles and various TNM merchandise. TNM will also during the event crown Mr and Miss Smart Data.
“Smart Data presents a complete shift in TNM’s core data proposition in that it has come to enrich our customers’ experience and our staff will be available during the social gathering in order to provide information about the product.” Students Union of Polytechnic have since found TNM’s gesture a rare treat and have committed to ensure that students enjoy TNM Smart data even after the social weekend.
Malawi’s urban artists Gwamba and Nesnes, who have just released the ‘TNM Smart’ video, a theme song for the company’s current ‘Smart Data’ campaign are expected to headline performances to entertain the students during the event.
