Banda described the gross as a good start to the season and hailed the team supporters for adhering to their commitment of not manning the gates.

“This is very commendable and we also promise to be accountable and transparent. Raking K23 million in week one it promises to be a good season,” said Banda.

He attributed this to the measures which they put in place like tightening the controls over the gates and ticketing.

“It is our hope that the teams will continue benefiting more from the system,” said Banda.

The game involving Nyasa Big Bullets and Moyale Barracks last Saturday grossed K10.8 million followed by Sunday’s thriller between Silver Strikers against Mighty Be Forward Wanderers which grossed K10.6 million.

Kamuzu Barracks versus Civo United game grossed K367, 430, while Dwangwa United and Blue Eagles game in Chitowe grossed K440, 000.

In a game involving Red Lions and Epac FC which took place in Balaka, the gross was K192,500, while Azam Tigers versus Max Bullets game at Kamuzu Stadium the gross was K542,500.

Finaly, Mafco FC and Mzuni game in Chitowe raised K220, 000

I also wanted to say the same thing that Nyasa times should tell us where to watch matches on this online Tuesdays or if they delay Wednesdays that we shouldn’t only depend on radios on Fridays
