Disclosing the news during the final draw of the SMS promotion, Head of Marketing Sobhuza Ngwenya said Big Bullets earnings represents 72 percent or the bulk of all total revenue that Sapota Mapeto generated.

He said the 2014/15 promotion realised a total of K16.3 million, up from K12.6 million in 2013/14 season, an increase by 29.3 percent.

“This increase in revenue collections for our clubs shows how passionate and dedicated football fans are to support their clubs. As the sponsor of the league, we are very happy with the outcome as it also shows how response TNM’s network platform is to the needs of our clubs,” said Ngwenya.

Ngwenya said the company will continue with this promotion which aims at helping super league clubs to generate additional resources.

“Sapota Mapeto promotion will continue and become even bigger as we believe that it is achieving its goal of engaging supporters while at the same time helping their clubs generate additional financial resources,” he said.

Apart from Big Bullets which carted a lion share to the bank, other top earners were Mighty Wanderers which earned K3.8 million and Silver Strikers which attracted K1.3 million.

To qualify into a promotion fans had to send SMS team code to 1515 at a cost of K40, of which K28 goes to the club.

Big bullets fan has emerged a top most hit after sending 3881 SMS’s during the promotion and has since received a megaphone.

During the promotion which ran from July 18, 2014 to January 24, 2015, TNM splashed about different prizes including 42 inch flat screen Samsung TVs, handsets, vuvuzelas, t-shirts and footballs.
