The three are Tom Kumwenda of Nkolokosa in Blantyre, Kondwani Msosa from Kaning’ina in Mzuzu and Gerald Jonasi. Kumwenda and Msosa won in the Facebook category while Jonasi was in the Twitter category. Each received a Samsung 21B501 Slim Line television set.

TNM Marketing Manager, Madalitso Jonazi said TNM has been running a number of promotions through social media to give back to its loyal customers who have engaged the company through online media.

“The promotions have also seen a lot of creative and interesting content and insights being generated and shared. TNM is therefore committed to continue offering the best social media content and promotions,” he said.

These two received the highest number of validated likes on Facebook during the competition.

On Twitter Gerald Jonasi who uses the twitter handle @dfox_dre came in first in the re-tweet challenge that had contestants coming up with a creative tweet using the hashtag #tnmSMART. Gerald managed to generate 157 retweets and claim the prize.

TNM Facebook and Twitter pages are also used for customer service and subscribers are able to submit complaints and queries; receiving prompt feedback from the TNM Social Media team.

Following major expenditures in mobile technology, TNM’s social media status has been lifted as it has become a major hit in the clouds as one of the most liked mobile network brands online.

UK-based Malawi diplomat and media activist Kondwani Munthali voted TNM as one of the best Facebook pages in his 2014 Facebook Best of Malawi on Facebook rankings.
