TNM splashes out JS T700 tablets in Smart kid challenge competition  

Premier mobile service provider TNM has presented prizes to pupils who have scored excelled in the Smart Kid game under the Smart Challenge Competition whose ultimate category winners will fly to Silicon Valley in the United States of America (USA).

Launched on October 5, 2015 the TNM Smart Challenge gives students, pupils and their communities a platform to showcase innovation in mobile application development and competition was categories in three namely Smart Kid for pupils, Smart Student for scholars in tertiary education and Smart Community for their institutions.

Presenting the awards TNM’s Marketing Manager Madalitso Jonazi said like other categories the smart kid receives overwhelmed response.

“We are rewarding top players, for the months starting from October, November, December and January. Malawian kids aged between 5 to 12, using TNM phones played ‘Smart Kid’ (an intellectual game for various items such as quiz, unscramble, Maths, Question and Answer, Hangman and more) under the  TNM Game Time platform,” said Jonazi.

He said the winners accumulated the highest scores each in these respective months and they received state of art JS T700 Tablets.

Jonazi said TNM will continue bringing lots of excitement as the smart challenge competition reaches the climax.

Currently TNM has accorded the public to vote for their favorite application for the 30 entries that have made the final list.

“We opened to the public to start voting for their favorite application in different categories by sending a participant’s code to 575 or online by visiting our website, smartchallenge.tnm.co.mw and we are calling the public to participate in the voting process which will run up to February 21, 2016,” said Jonazi.

One of winners of four winners Deliwe Mpesi a standard 7 student at Chimwakhunda primary school said the smart kid game has helped her to excel in her education.

“This game has really helped me to learn more and currently im doing well in class and I would like to encourage other pupils to start playing it,” she said

Through this competition, winners will travel to USA, Silicon Valley where they will tour Facebook, Google, Apple and Stanford University. Others will win Smart devices and computers for a lab.

TNM has engaged MHub, Facebook, Google, Opera Software and IBM as technology partners for this initiative.
