According to an official fixture released by the Super League of Malawi (Sulom), the current leaders Silver Strikers welcome 2nd placed Nyasa Big Bullets at the Silver Stadium in what is probably the game of the week.

Bullets will be looking forward for a revenge following their painful 1-0 defeat suffered in the hands of the Bankers on Wednesday to wave goodbye to the inaugural Fisd Challenge Cup.

Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter, Silver Strikers Head Coach Lovemore Fazili said they are going to continue from where they stopped on Wednesday.

Fazili said he is optimistic his side will carry the day because the players have put an extra gear.

“Bullets is a good team and we have always respected them all these years but they can’t beat our strength now. In the field, our strength is in the wings and off field is to give the boys confidence and trust that they can beat Bullets.

“It is possible to beat them again on Sunday; if we managed to beat them away why not at home,” said Fazili on Friday.
Fazili said he has made sure that the team maintains its fitness level so that it can be able to stand the heat when facing any club.

He also revealed that he has been working on finishing so that the strikers can start to bang in more goals.

On the part of Bullets, Team Manager Rahim Ishmael said  all the preparations have gone well and are looking forward to nothing but a revenge come Sunday.

“All the preparations for this game have gone well and we are looking for a fruitful trip to Lilongwe.

“In Wednesday’s game we lacked cordination good build up from the back and ended up failing to create scoring opportunities. As you saw we never had any shot at goal in the second half. As technical team, we have rectified all those problems” said Ishmael.

In other games over the weekend, third place Mafco FC welcome struggling and bottom placed MTV Max Bullets at the Chitowe while Civo United are at home to Mzuni FC.

The Civil Servants who are yet to win a game under their new coach Charles Manda will be looking forward to recover from a 1-0 loss to Blue Eagles in the Fisd Challenge Cup.

The Eagles who are on position five invade the northern region where they face Moyale Baracks and Karonga United on Saturday and Sunday respectively at the Mzuzu Stadium.

Sixth placed Mighty Be Forward Wanderers come face to face with Azam Tigers who last weekend forced defending champions Bullets to a 0-0 draw.

Epac will face Mzuni on Sunday while Max Bullets will complete their Central Region tour with a date against Dwangwa United at the Chitowe Stadium.
