Tributes pour in for ‘brilliant’ University of Malawi lecture Simbarashe Mungoshi
Tributes have poured in for a University of Malawi lecturer who died Saturday following a short illness.
Simbarashe Mungoshi, who was a senior lecturer in journalism at the Polytechnic College of the University of Malawi, passed away on Saturday.
His present and past students are all saddened by his death.
“He was a tremendously remarkable person,” said a fellow lecture at Poly.
There were more tributes taken on Twitter.
His former student Chiku Ndaferankhande said: “My lecturer and dissertation supervisor. Never knew he was sick.”
Professor Wiseman Chijere Chirwa said: “I taught him at Chancellor College. Was surely one of the very few creative and critical thinkers in his group.”
Mungoshi was also a political analyst and commentator.
