TV journo Lucius Funsani burial on Friday

The remains of Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) TV journalist, Lucius Funsani, will be laid to rest on Friday (tomorrow), 18 July, 2014 at Maselema Village T/A Mlumbe in Zomba district.

Nyasa Showbiz understands that Funsani died of a fungal infection Wednesday night at Daeyang Luke Hospital in Lilongwe at the age of 33.

His close friend and workmate at ZBS TV, Fatsani Menyani, said Thursday evening that the deceased was first admitted to ABC Clinic on 1st July, 2014.

“He was at ABC Clinic before he was moved to Daeyang Luke Hospital where has has passed,” confirmed Menyani, speaking on behalf of Funsani’s family.

Before joining ZBS TV where he was working as a cameraman and production technician, Funsani had worked with Kings Multimedia Productions and TV Malawi (now MBCtv) in Blantyre.

Also known as Njazi, Funsani, who was one of the talented young people who transformed TV production in the country also worked as a presenter at the state controlled MBCtv until early this year when he moved to Lilongwe where picked a job at ZBS TV in January.

He did his media studies at Media Village in Cape Town, South Africa where he majored in television production.

Funsani is survived by a wife and kid. May His Soul Rest In Peace.
