Two spouses to Malawi army officers killed in Rwanda road accident

Two Malawian Women have died in a car accident in Kigali, Rwanda where they went to attend the graduation of their husbands at the Rwandan Military College.

The gradution ceremony was scheduled for Friday, June 3 2016.

The two have been identified as Esmmy Maluwa and Chrissie Chidzungu, wives to Malawi Defence Force (MDF) officers Major Gracian Maluwa and Major Richard Chidzungu.

MDF Public Relations Officer Captain Paul Chiphwanya confirmed confirmed the deaths of these two women and that the accident happened on Thursday.

The two met their fate on their way to the military college from the airport.

Chiphwanya said they are doing everything possible to repatriate the bodies and indicated that an aircraft assigned to collect the deceased was scheduled to leave the country for Kigali o  Friday.
