UDF says PP caught in web of lies: Drum up ‘Agenda for Change’ support in Nsanje
Malawi’s opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) youth leaders led by lawmaker Shaibu Kaliati, who is also deputy youth director of the party, weekend stormed Lowers-Shire district of Nsanje to drum up support for the Agenda for Change which is being touted by UDF president Atupele Muluzi.
Kaliati called on the people of Nsanje at Marka to rally behind Atupele and join the agenda for change crusade so that Malawi from next year can change to ensure “people realise their destiny with a more dignified future.”
He said lies have caught up with the PP because they have failed to fulfil promises such as the creation of employment for the youths, citing controversial labour export in South Korea and Kuwait which have stalled.
The UDF leaders under the banner of ‘Jubilee 50 ‘also criticized what they called “personalisation of public resources and abuses of power”, saying they must stop.
Kaliati said with ‘Agenda for Change’ next year Malawi shall return to the right path both politically and economically.
