Uladi tongue-lashes Chakwera: ‘He is a foolish Galatian’

Malawi Minister  of Home Affairs, Uladi Mussa , known for his political platform tongue-lashing was at it again on Wednesday  when he blasted Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president Lazarus Chakwera describing him as a “foolish Galatian.”

Speaking during the elevation of chief Chiwalo in Malawi’s disaster prone district of Phalombe which was attended by President Joyce Banda,  the minister attacked Chakwera for quitting as president of Assemblies of God church in Malawi to join front-line politics.

In his rubble-rousing speech, Mussa noted that just like the Galatians of the Bible, Chakwera started on a better note as a cleric but has chosen to end miserably as a politician.

“He is being a fool to think that he can successfully abandon Church pulpit for politics. The Biblical Jonah tried to play hide and seek with God, the results were disastrous,” said Mussa a known Muslim teacher.

Mussa declared: “By abandoning church, Chakwera is openly rejecting God’s mercy, the much needed mercy for him to win the state presidency. And he cannot win.”

Reverend Chakwera has refused to hit back at Mudssa insisting he wants to concentrate on issue based campaign instead of wasting time bad-mouthing others.

“We will not waste time to be distracted on the kind of politics [of Uladi Mussa.”

“Right now people are looking for hope and I believe that hope is being seen in MCP. I believe we can deliver the way we sustain that hope.”
