UNESCO invites articles from Malawi scholars for education book

Malawi National Commission for UNESCO is inviting submission of articles from academicians and scholars in the fields of Educational Policy, Planning, Leadership and Management to be published in a book.

In a statement last week, the Commission said the book will be a reflective treatise of Malawi’s Education system in the past 50 plus years and beyond including the pre-colonial era.

It said the articles should be about Malawi’s education system and cover issues of educational philosophy, history of education development and the educational culture (values, beliefs, customs/social habits and the art of education).

Other issues include educational organisational dynamics (governance, community participation, legal provisions, leadership, management and politics), funding/financing models that work for the Malawian context, and monitoring/evaluation practices.

Deadline for submission of abstracts, with maximum of 250 words, is September 30, 2015.
