Amenewo ndiye atumbuka. They make sure that all institutions and companies in the north are headed and staffed by northerners. Thats why the northern region lags behind in terms of development. They are highly antisocial and deeply rooted in nepotism. They are homogenous and think like chicken…speaking tumbuka in offices mxiii!
Pali ministry ina m’bomamu, everyone is tumbuka, and it is the most pathetic ministry eish fotseki.
Whenever a crisis arises in any society, people do sit down and discuss the issues amicably. What we have seen at Livingstonia University recently, is both shameful and unconstrutive. There was no need of firing college officials instead of reaching a compromise. The victims of this misguided outcome are our young people who are preparing themselves to lead our nation in the aforeseable future. As a Tumbuka and a Malawian myself,I vehemently condemn the strategy taken by the leaders of the University Council, this portrays our weaknesses and lack of sense of humane which will not take us anywhere. For instance, where are AFORD AND NYIKALAND endeavours?… Read more »
Tumbuka’s are more intelligent unlike Chewa’s that is why in most offices you find bosses from north.
Atumbuka atumbulane sapano in a dog-eat-dog style…….kkkkkkkk
Useless people and useless degrees….The administration of the institution is very pathetic…you just also introduce programmes without qualified lecturers. Worse still you also enrol students that have less than six credits. I once taught at this institution before going to the diaspora but the experience was very bad. Too many adjunct lecturers and unstable college time-table.
University of Livingstonia is predominantly headed by the people form the Northern region for the following reasons: -Unlike the current government and ‘others’, Rev Nyondo and the university of Livingstonia board are not regionalist, are not nepotistic, and make decision based on merit. -Merit being that only the northern region has the right people who are qualified enough to properly run the university of Livingstonia. -Because unless you come from the Northern region, you are not qualified enough and you practice regionalism and tribalism. -Because Rev Nyondo and his Board are perfect and always right. Or are they not? And… Read more »
Pasavute!
Just go back to Mzuni where positions for Jedegwa, Ridley, Mpando, Yalaukani and Chigo Gondwe (chamba)- in that order, are up for grabs (see adverts in recent newspapers), mwapulika mwabana bakwithu?
I was also about to ask the same question. Why is it institutions in the north are headed 98.9% by people from the North? Catholic University in Chiradzulu is headed by Anaclet Phiri a Northerner but southerners do not complain. The same applies to institutions like MZUNI and Northern Region Water Board. Let us we northerners try to integrate so that we can have a good case to complain when we are segregated in other regions. Otherwise, it sounds like sour grapes when we complain of nepotism and favoritism and yet we could do the same or even worse if… Read more »
You dont like to work in the North for the same reason; prejudice!!! So what else, northerner are willing to work closer to home. Fullstop!!!
These idiots from the north will never change. The same mistake AFORD made in 1993 is repeated. I think it is in the blood of the tumbukas not to co-exist with other tribes. Kamuzu was at one point right to remove northerners from the other regions back to the north. He sensed something serious in these people. In this time and era we can not be talking of tribes, for what? It is clear that the whole top management at the so called university was composed of tumbukas only. According to them, those who qualified for the positions are only… Read more »
