Wanderers face Silver in pre-season friendly on Sunday
Yasin Osman and LovemoreFazil will test their wits against each other before the new season begins with Be Forward Wanderers scheduled to take on Silver Strikers on Sunday in a pre-season fixture at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Wanderers Team Manager Steven Madeira has confirmed about the friendly match.
“Pre-season is a very important time for the team and our game against Silver Strikers give us a good mixture of games to get ready for the new campaign,” Madeira said.
The Nomads have been outstanding in their pre-season matches starting with the game against Lake Valley, where they won 3-0 before beating Premier Bet Wizards.
In the Wafa-Wafa Big 4 Bonanza which took place in Lilongwe, Wanderers were also outstanding as they grabbed the cup after beating Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0, and Kamuzu Barracks 2-0.
According to Madeira they are impressed with the performance of their team, but insisted more to come from them.
He said these pre-season matches will help them to asses’ different combinations.
On the other camp, Silver Strikers will also use the friendly match to asses some of their players who have joined them from other teams.
For instance, the bankers have the likes of Hygiene Mwendepeka from Karonga United.
During the Wafa-Wafa bonanza, the bankers lost their first game 1-0 to Kamuzu Barracks before being pruned against Nyasa Big Bullets in the penalties
