Mighty Be Forward Wanderers have shaken the coaching panel by engaging former Bullets coach Elia Kananji as coach for the senior team offering him “ good pay” package and not the K50,000 salary he was getting at the champions club.
Wanderers have also roped in former Bullets coach Eddington Ng’onamo as a talent development manager for Junior Teams.
General Secretary Mike Butao said Technical Director Yasin Osman would assume the role of Manager to be the overall overseer of the coaching panel for all the teams of the club.
He said Kannock Munde would revert to his former role of team manager with Thom Milanzi as his deputy.
“We will have Yasin Osman as Manager who will do more of some coaching than his previous position of Technical Director. Elia Kananji will be the coach, Kannock Munde will retain his position of team manager,” Butao said.
“For the junior teams we will have Eddington Ng’onamo to look after the junior team coaches Albert Mpinganjira and Safaro Pompi.”
The General Secretary also disclosed that they were considering to recruit a goalkeeper trainer to beef up the team.
The development comes barely after Elia Kananji parted ways with Bullets over the team’s failure to review his package.
Wanderers are reported to have offered Kananji K200,000 while his former team where he won a double for them including a league title in nine years used to pay him K50,000.
Kananji was also courted by Azam Tigers but the Kau Kau Boys have settled for another former Bullets coach Gerald Phiri.
Tigers Chairman Sydney Chikoti disclosed that they decided to take the gamble because they hope that Gerald Phiri could take the team to another level.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
