According to the team’s General Secretary Mike Butao, the event is aimed at raising funds for its ambitious plans which prioritise commercialisation, ground project and winning the 2016 TNM Super League title

“Owning a ground is an ongoing process and the fund-raising activities start with a dinner on March 4 to raise funds for the acquisition of land and initial work on this project,” said Butao.

According to Butao, the team has with the help of minster of lands Atupele Muluzi, find a place where they want to buy and start a stadium project.

Wanderers board of trustees chairperson Rashid Gaffar opened the account with a K1 million donation towards the stadium project.

Butao said the dinner and dance tickets are already at the market and their prices include :  K20, 000 ordinary ticket , VIP is at K30,000 VVIP ticket is at K50, 000, mini corporate table of 5 people is at K150, 0000 and Corporate table of 10 and  it’s on K300,000.

Wanderers have also hired United States of America bound Edgar and Davis plus the living legend Giddes Chalamanda to entertain the audience during the night.

Butao has urged all Nomads and we’ll wishers to buy tickets in Blantyre at its club house at Lali Lubani,  in Mzuzu through Julius Mithi and in Lilongwe through its vice general secretary Chris Kananji and its deputy treasure Chulu Mkangama.
