Good work but please change your employment tactics. How can the whole organisation have all its employees from tumbuka belt. This is not good. Please practice what you preach. For one to be employed one has to come from tumbuka belt and be praising at Living Waters Church.

Support the structures that make water supply systems sustainable. Even if you drill million holes and you don’t support the structures, in no time the interventions will be useless.

The article is somehow misleading. I think it is about the target of the organisation not the the actual target of people that needs access to safe water. Drilling 98 instead of 64 water points does not mean that all people have access to safe water but it means that water for people surpassed its planned target…so we should be clear on this rather than create a false impression that all people in CK have access to safe water …no ways…..NOT NOW..try again Kate but keep it up..just go to Ntayamanja, Thendo, Nankumba, Therere, Linga…Mapelera.., Mthumba people still need access… Read more »

I would like to commend Water for People for considering Chikwawa district in your project. Chikwawa was a right target for your project, keep it up. That area really has shortage of sources of portable water. However, I agree with Eye Eye above. Water for People has met its target 98/60, not that all people of Chikwawa have access to portable water. The 80% figure of access to portable water is a national figure and there are other under served districts which are not at 80% like Chikwawa, Nsanje, etc. I come from Nsanje and when I travel from Nsanje… Read more »

Where is this data coming from? Access to safe water can not be 80% in Malawi. Its less than that. Do not combine access to safe water and access to sanitory facilities. Alot of boreholes but very few are functioning. Go and do mapping in the villages. Do not cheat the nation and donor community. What can be the interpretantion for that. Donors will soon leave us and support a different country. Lets give a true picture to the donor community and our country as well.

Ha ha, 80% access to sanitation, are you joking? No ways the people who shit in the open are only 20%, they are the majority. By they way, Harawa, are you married? I want to propose love to you.
