Wayankha Bakery on the radar of corruption probe

Wayankha Bakery of Blantyre based businessman Karim  may soon face grilling by law enforcing agencues over a series fraudlent allegations linking to Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom).

Nyasa Times is following leads that connect Wayankha Bakery to anomalies at ESCOM.

Already, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has said Escom is facing probe in the possible links to the plunder of public resources christened as cashgate.

“The ACB has an interest in Escom and we will be investigating them,” ACB deputy director general Reyneck Matemba told the Legal Affairs Committee of Parliament on Tuesday .

Allegations, counter allegations, ACB investigations, Karim this, Karim that blah blah…all this noise will amount to nothing, zilch, nadha. Let’s just move on and accept that Malawi is a banana republic governed by thieves in cahoot with another bunch of thieves disguised as ‘businessmen’.
