Weekend of derbies: Malawi TNM Super League
Soccer fanatics from all the three regions of the country expects a weekend of top class football following a line up of exciting and derby matches as set by the Super League of Malawi (Sulom).
All the roads in the commercial city of Blantyre will lead to Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday where the two traditional rivals Mighty Wanderers and Bullets F.C entertain each other.
Bullets are coming from a 2-2 draw last weekend against defending champions Silver Strikers while the nomads had a super weekend beating Blue Eagles at the Balaka Stadium 1-0.
In the capital city, it will be Epac F.C coming face to face with the leaders Blue Eagles at the Silver Stadium.
Civo Stadium will host another thrilling and mouth watering fixture on Sunday between Lilongwe rivals host Civo and Silver Strikers.
In Mzuzu, league leaders Moyale Barracks face Karonga United.
Airborne will face Mafco F.C in an all soldiers affair while Azam Tigers will battle it out with struggling Blantyre United.
Zomba based Soldiers Red Lions who are on fourth position will battle it out with second from bottom placed rookies Chikwawa United.
In the top scorers chat, Deus Nkutu is the highest scorer so far having netted 11 goals seconded by Kumbukani Mwambene of Red Lions who has banged in 10 goals.
Kelvin Hanganda of Kamuzu Barracks come third with nine goals while Gustin Simkonda of Moyale and Calisto Kalinda of Mafco are on fourth with eight goals.
With seven goals are Shumacher Kuwali (B.Eagles), Micium Mhone (B.Eagles), John Malidadi (B.Eagles), Charles Ngosi (B.Eagles) and Bright Munthali (Azam Tigers).
