The Peter Mponda boys  were first to score in the 21 minutes after defender Peter Nselema gifted their striker a pass to the dismay of the Nomads coach Jack Chamangwana, who shook his head.

Fifteen minutes later, the Nomads equalized through a well taken free kick from Patrick Gunde, who had a brilliant game.

However, the equalizer gave Wizards were power as they dominated the proceedings of the match especially on the midfield.

The only problem with Wizards was their front line which lacked the killer punch despite causing the Nomads defence havoc.

There were a number of changes from the Nomads as they made more than five substitutions.

For instance, they brought in Ibrahim Sadick, Victor Mpinganjira and Luka Milanzi for Isaac Kaliati, Ernest Tambe and  Jabulani Linje.

On recess time, it was 1-1.

Come second half, Wizards team was a marvel to watch, as players  exchanged  criss  passes to the satisfaction of a section of ganyu fans, who drummed support  for the entire game.

It was Ishamel Chirwa who broke the Nomads hearts with a long range in the 76th minute to make it 2-1 in favour of the Peter Mponda boys.

Wanderers tried hard to secure an equalizer but Wizards defence was solid, as they tightly marked Khumbo Ng’ambi, who came in for Peter Wadabwa and Luka Milanzi.

In post match interviews Be Forward Wanderers coach Jack Chamangwana said they were not worried with the defeat as they were accessing some players.

“There is no need to raise an alarm because we are trying players in different positions. We still have some more weeks to rectify our problems,” said Chamangwana.

Wizards coach Peter Mponda described the outcome of the game as encouraging ahead of the play-offs.

Mponda said he was impressed with the performance of his boys and urged them to do more during the play- offs scheduled this coming weekend in Lilongwe.

Last week on Friday, Wizards clipped Nyasa Big Bullets 3-2 before drawing 1-1 against the same Wanderers.
