Wizards rope in former Bullets trustee Kapachika as chair
Wizards FC have strengthened their administration department with the roping in of former Bullets trustee George Kapachika as chairman
Owned and coached by former Bullets and national team captain Peter Mponda, Wizards returned to Malawi’s flagship league Super League after the league runners decided to increase the team from 15 to even number 16.
Kapachika, who served as Vice-Chairman for the team last season said was ready to take up the challenge.
“I am ready for the challenge I have I always liked to contribute to the development of football,” Kapachika said.
He said although the team had no sponsor his administration would hard to secure sponsorship to meet the high cost of running the team.
“We know the challenge that lies ahead for us to survive. We need a commitment from players, coaches and administrators for us to achieve our goal,” he said.
However, his appointment has raised eyebrows having been controversially been sacked in the previous committee on what Mponda said had failed to deliver.
