Zuma outhinks Mutharika, embraces Prophet Bushiri and ECG

As Malawi President Peter Mutharika and his government is throwing spanners  in the work of some men of God, both within and outside Malawi, his South Africa counterpart President Jacob Zuma thinks otherwise by embracing them and churches.

This has been revealed following a recent official visit to Prophet Bushiri’s Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Church in Pretoria by South Africa’s governing ANC Treasurer General Zweli Lawrence Mkhize who represented President Zuma during the on-going Easter Conference hosted by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.

Speaking to thousands of people who gathered at the prestigious ECG and to millions of viewers on Bushiri’s Prophetic Channel, Mkhize began by explaining that President Zuma was supposed to be in attendance himself, but failed to make it due to his busy schedule.

However, his official presence was on behalf of the President who sent along his sincere happiness and recognition over the impact Prophet Bushiri and his church is doing in South Africa, outlining the spiritual and economic contributions that the government is enjoying.

“We need prayers, prophet for our country. We are behind you and we will support you no matter what comes. I say this because of the joy and peace I see in this church,” said Mkhize.

“Prophet Bushiri, we see you as a visionary and a great leader and a true man of God,” explained Mkhize.

“We see every day that your church attracts thousands of people from within and outside South Africa. This is happening despite opposition from some quarters. The question is,those opposing you more civilised than the judges, members of parliament, lawyers, business tycoons and all men and women I am seeing in this church? Let us ask ourselves that question and we will know that the hand of God is on this young man,” he said.

He added: “Bushiri is a true man of God. The President has pledged to work with him and as I speak he is very happy for this church and wants the Prophet to help him where necessary.”

The Treasure General also asked the ECG church to help the society in eradicating crime by continuing to preach the gospel that makes crime offenders receive Jesus Christ.

Wrapping up his speech, Mkhize who came with the Minister of Land and Environmental affairs and the Speaker of Parliament said so far, the government of South Africa has given Bushiri 40 hectors of land for free to build their infrastructures and continue helping towards tourism and economic developments.

This he said is in line with ANC’s plans for a better South Africa.

Prophet Bushiri church has grown tremendously in South Africa and has opened branches across the  rainbow nation.

The headquarters in Pretoria, a church where Bushiri ministers,  attracts a membership that grows by thousands margin every week.

People speak so highly about Bushiri because he goes around spladhing out money. I know people who are doing good spiritual work in Malawi but go noticed just because they don’t have money to to throw around.

Malawians, open your eyes. You are mixing things, ‘zapaziko’ ndi ‘ zakumwamba’. If you are not careful, you will start worshiping ‘men’.

poverty of the mind!! Malawi is poor because its full of poorly minded people; the media, the people commenting stupid things. why has Bushir not built a church in his own city Mzuzu when the City gave him land 5 years ago. A Malawi do not comment stupid things which just show your spiritual ignorance. Did Bushir went to South Africa because he was chased from Malawi? Are there no people who need his spiritual services in Malawi. Actually what has Malawi to do with Bushir. Please, spare us, we have got better things to think and talk about. It… Read more »

I am a christian and I do respect other religions and through my LEA school education I learned that the likes of Zeus should be referred to “gods” and “God” shall only mean our GOD. Please stop refering to your self proclaimed prophets as men of ‘God’ and spell correctly as men of god!
