CSOs should not be seeking to target pregnancy itself as a dangerous condition to be treated by ‘safe abortion’. Rather they should be targeting the disturbing deficiencies, each State’s continuing failure to supply prenatal care, vaccines, trained midwives, centres equipped for obstetric complications, and to address lack of transportation to those centres.
