How do you know that Malawi is a poor country, its when you see them discuss the home of a person rather than his work. Lets learn to concentrate on work rather than where a person comes from ,which is a waste of time as foreigners are taking over this country and you are busying saying this one is from south this one was from north etc……Zitithandiza chani zeminezi abale ….lets not pass bad behavior to our children but good virtues and values worthy emulating which can move this great nation forward.
You fool!!!! You can not compare Mathanyula with Thandika Mkandawire by far.Thandika got his PHds through hard work while,Mathanyula got them from heaven like manna. The Universities Thandika had gone through,Muthalika could not qualify atall to teach. The Washington University which he tought, students demonstrated for his lack of teaching qualifications. His brother Bingu was not even satisfied with his job in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Education hence, his viciously failure to run the Nation. While at Blantyre Secondary School,Thandika used to write comments in the TSOPANO MAGAZINE of the NAC AND MCP of which Mathanyula could not while in the same School. Now that… Read more »

Ah! So this is the man among the many that have written extensively on the economy of Malawi from independence in 1964 up to the years of the Structural Adjustment Programmes administered by the Bretton Wood Institutions in the 1980s. Congrats, Mr. Thandika Mkandawire.

They cannot come back home in view of the manner in which they are treated in Malawi. It is as if they do not belong to this country.
Wow
There is only one Professor in Malawi and he is Professor Peter Mutharika, find another title to call these so called professors.
Peter has failed to demonstrate himself as a professor, the reason is simple he has never worked at any industry related org, only teaching institutions where we talk a lot about theories and nothing practical, PROF THANDIKA MKANDAWIRE HAS WORKED at UN, CODERIA so he is a hands-on guy
Takunydirani. Ciuta wabe namwe nyengo zose!!
