“As I am talking he is boarding Ulendo Airlink to Likoma .He is in the country for tourism,”KIA spokesperson Supulain Chitonde confirmed to Nyasa Times.

Fact file:

He is well known for his Hollywood action roles, namely boxer Rocky Balboa, the title character of the Rockyseries’ seven films from 1976 to 2015; soldier John Rambo from the four Rambo films, released between 1982 and 2008; and Barney Ross in the three The Expendables films from 2010 to 2014. He wrote or co-wrote most of the 14 films in all three franchises, and directed many of the films.

Stallone’s film Rocky was inducted into the National Film Registry as well as having its film props placed in the Smithsonian Museum. Stallone’s use of the front entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the Rocky series led the area to be nicknamed the Rocky Steps. Philadelphia has a statue of his Rocky character placed permanently near the museum. It was announced on December 7, 2010 that Stallone was voted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in the non-participant category.[5]

In 1977, Stallone was nominated for two Academy Awards for Rocky, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor. He became the third man in history to receive these two nominations for the same film, after Charles Chaplin and Orson Welles.[6] He received critical raves, as well as his first Golden Globe Award and third Academy Award nomination, for reprising the role of Rocky Balboa in Ryan Coogler‘s 2015 film Creed.

How interesting. I do agree with Peter Banda here. Why should you be talking about films when the main subject is about him promoting tourism? Does it make sense?

You should have reported properly. How do you just talk about movies? Tell your readers how he is going to stay in the country. Who is sponsoring him etc. The headline is about promoting tourism, but the articles is talking tourism. Be focused.

O………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………O Wow! This news is as good as music to my ears. for, just like others; it reminds me of the days of many ago years; When we repeatedly, used to watch First Blood 1, Rambo II and Rambo III, with my peers. And although the picture-quality was generally not as clear; therefrom; we got great joy and ofcourse, some fears. For, to watch one man defeat an “army of soldiers”, leaving them in confucion and tears; was not only strange and amazing; but also wierd. No wonder we could narrate the whole movie from start to the end, though… Read more »

This is wonderful, all i have been wondering why tourism is lagging behind. Likoma Island, Nkhatabay, Nyika plateau in the north and other places along the lake in the central and the south are just a wonderful and good investment is made can definately turn around the fortunes of this nation. Bravo Rambo. This is a purely a good business venture.
