Malawian men are *more* like to have HIV if they’ve been circumcised.
7.9% of intact Malawian men have HIV.
10.3% of circumcised Malawian men have HIV.

There are at least nine other African countries where men are *more* likely to be HIV+ if they’ve been circumcised, Why then is male circumcision being promoted to prevent HIV?
Europeans don’t circumcise, South Americans don’t circumcise, Australians and New Zealanders used to circumcise but stopped, and less than half north Americans circumcise, so why should Africans circumcise?
It is true that the most sensitive part of this sexual organ is the foreskin. It is prone to easy cuts coming from the time of sexual contacts friction. It can also easily contract HIV through the cuts through which blood escapes. This blood is difficult to be seen by a naked eye. Remember that HIV is transmitted only through blood contacts. Maybe use some of that money for health, & sex education. It’s ridiculous to go around and encourage the removal of a healthy and necessary part of the body in claim that it will prevent disease. It’s not only un proven but it only leaves a person feeling protected from a disease that can only be advoided by abstinence or protection i.e. condoms.
