In fact some of us have never heard Nankumwa talking I’ll about individuals. He is issue based, calm and mature . How I wish DPP had many such characters but unfortunately they have a stockpile of Makande type who can even attack the annointed at will.
At his age what can prevent Nankhumwa from becoming the president of Malawi? Yet we hear statements “ana achepe”. APM and his mates should accept that they have done their party and they should have given a chance to this young politicians to be in the driving seat while they are in the background giving them advice. But we have people like GG VP northern region why?
Most people like me, have high hopes on you honourable Nankhumwa that you’ll begin, in earnest, to transform DPP politics and your first speech as VP for Southern region is encouraging indeed. My advise is; don’t try to make the old DPP better but rather create a new thinking within the party so that it resonates with the masses. Remember that in 2014 only 35% of the voters voted for DPP so you had 65% of the voters who were not convinced that DPP is the best party to rule Malawi. Be honest Chilima is the leader in this new political style where castigation and character assassination is considered primitive. This is what we want in new Malawi.
Is he not practicing the same politics of castigation, intimidation and namalegeni? Or wshould we ignore these?
