Apostle Ziba hosts international Uni conference at Chanco

The fast-growing non-denominational Fountain of Victory International (FOV) Ministries led by Apostle Joseph Ziba has organised a two-day international universities and colleges conference (IUCC) at the Chancellor College in Zomba.

According to the chairperson of the organising committee, Eric Maulidi, the conference will start on Friday, February 27 and end on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Great Hall in Zomba.

Maulidi said the conference was open to everyone who was willing to attend including adults and out of school youths whether they are working or not.

During the conference there will be ministration of the Word by Apostle Ziba and career talk, music by various famed gospel artists, career talk and life coaching to prepare the youth as future leaders.

“We encourage everyone to come because it will be a great time whereby Apostle Ziba will minister to the youth and empower them with knowledge of God on how they can chart their way to become good leaders of the nation.

“One word from the Lord can change the course of a person’s life. This is a must-attend meeting. Since we started holding these conference there have been testimonies of youths who have been touched by the power of Lord and their hopeless situations changed for better.

“We have seen many youths giving up on their bad habits of premarital sexual practices, alcohol and dug abuse and stealing and making a decision to follow Christ. Many of these have become radical Christians who go about testifying of their transformation to their fellow youth,” he said.

Maulidi said the future development of the nation lied in the current generation of the youth and the conference was also aimed at complimenting the efforts of the universities and colleges in preparing and equipping the youth for leadership.

He added that not all knowledge and skills the youth needed to be leaders could be offered by the colleges and universities and the church had a role to play.

“The church also has a role to play in shaping the current youths and prepare them to be God-fearing leaders. If we have God-fearing leaders in place we can easily tackle corruption and other social ills that have undermined development efforts,” he said.

Maulidi said since  they started holding the International  Universities  and  Colleges  Conference,  many young people  have not only been challenged to pursue greatness but they have been imparted with a substance to become  catalysts  of  change  in  their  communities.

“If there’s a platform where young people  are  being  raised  into  great  leaders  then  it  is  International  Universities  and Colleges Conference. Students from all colleges in Malawi and abroad converge at one place where they receive life changing lessons and they are imparted with seeds of greatness which will undoubtedly remain in them for their entire life.

He also encouraged even adults to attend the meetings because the word of God is no respecter of a person’s status and it can minister to their needs at any time and any place.

“God looks at the heart and a humble heart He does not despise. Many who are adults today did not have an opportunity to attend such meetings and those who have attend the past meetings have been spurred and empowered to live a life which is worthwhile. Some have considered re-shaping and re-building their careers after attending these meetings,” he said.

Apostle Joseph Ziba is a renowned preacher and teacher of the word of God, who for over fifteen years has presided over the ever-growing and expanding non-denominational ministry, Fountain of Victory International Ministries.

The ministry is built on the very foundation of common understanding amongst its members that the Bible is God’s infallible word whose core message “man’s salvation and relationship to his maker can be shared and championed without particular emphasis on any of denominational ideology.

it was during a 2012 meeting that my life and understanding of it changed. I was not a student, nor was i staying in Zomba but only decided to go. It was on 5th May 2015 in Great Hall, when God took me to the other level. It was an experience of knowing the Jesus I thought i knew and served. I salute Papa Ziba for the impact he has on me.
