What else do you expect from the Editor In-Chief of this paper the one who comes from the Center and bootlicker of opposition leaders. he is so obsessed with anger and fury. Nothing balanced will come this folk so called kasakula or kasekera. His journalism is so unbalanced . You are cheering a failure who has opted out of the DPP and not the post of VP for the sake of a salary. If he was for the poor he claims to be, he would have completely relinquished his post and dine with us the poor including yourself whose monthly… Read more »

The curse of vp in Malawi is well known and has again come to roost. If it is true that apm made a pact with Saulos that he would serve only one term and then pass the touch to Saulos in 2019, them apm shins be ashamed of himself for not honouring the pact. Dpp would not be in the current disarray had apm honoured the pact. Blair and Brown had a similar pact but Blair honoured it. Apm is selfish and greedy , he does care about the welfare of dpp but only himself and his close corrupt nepotistic… Read more »

Kasakula, it is not the first time a VP has done this. Joyce Banda did the same and the same people clapping hands for Chilima encouraged her. When it came to elections, she flopped whilst sitting in the driving seat. Others like Malewezi ended up in the trash bin. As did Kachale and Chilumpha. I am yet to be proven wrong, but people need to understand that politics in mature western democracies in Europe is different from Africa. In some of Europe’s democracies, one can’t win with a new party or as an independent. An example is USA. Donald Trump… Read more »

The write-up not insipirational, typical of Kasakula whose arguements are always circular. He expresses his wishes in his speeches/writings. He has totally missed the mark!

All this is because the reportedly clueless Peter Muthalika who will turn 80 years old next year wants to cling to power for the next fiver years!Peter wants to take advantage of his illiterate cousins in the populous Districts of Mulanje,Thyolo and Mangochi to continue plundering our tax money. It is alleged that the proved and known corrupt Muluzi family is behind Peter’s interest to prolong his stay in power. If the 17 million Malawians can be asked whether president Peter Muthalika has proved indispensable in the past four years? The answer is obviously A big No ! In fact… Read more »

This is where Malawi politics fails. Malawians had known before 2014 that Peter Mutharika is a failure as a politician and political leader. It is a known fact he can’t even run his own family affairs effectively. He failed as a minister in Bingu-led DPP government. The man doesn’t have a vision or strategy to lift Malawi to European standards (as he proclaims). The man is unable to connect with his own people and isnt an orator. Despite all these faults Malawians voted for him and his family party. Obviously, its not performance that counts but rather something else. It… Read more »

I tend to disagree with you DzukainAmalawi. State of macroeconomic variables speaks volumes of this government’s achievements. Be balanced in your analysis!
