The People’s Team needs about K180 million for its continental club showpiece task.

The company sources informed Nyasa Times that Airtel will be official sponsor of Bullets in their CAF campaign.

Bullets and Airtel are reported to have signed the dotted lines of their sponsorship deal  said to be in the region of K150 million.

The club’s  General Secretary Harlod  Fote kept his cards close to the chest, saying they will hold a news conference.

Bullets chairperson Kondi Msungama said  the club was in talks with other potential sponsors, but could not divulge names for fear of jeopardising prospective deals.

Another mobile phone network provider TNM, sponsors of the flagship football league, disclosed that they are finalising a  sponsorship package for Bullets.

Bullets have been drawn against Club Fomboni of Comoros Islands in the preliminary round.

by the way, Airtel will only sponsor bullets during CAF campaign for the sake of Advertising Airtel to other countries. Bullets will remain unsponsored in the local games, thus no need to change name. Airtel also took the gamble knowing that Bullets will fail in preliminary round, thus only few games at Airtel’s expense
