Bullets left the country over the weekend to Daresalam, Tanzania where they are expected to fly to the Comoros Island to fulfil their first leg preliminary round match against Fomboni F.C.

Speaking in an interview with a local radio station on Wednesday morning, Bullets Chairman Kondi Msunga said the team is greatful with the gesture shown by the Tanzania F.A.

“The Ministry [sports] in line with the Tanzania F.A have offered us a training ground for free until we leave for Comoros. I am thankful because this will help us to prepare thoroughly.

“It is not a mean thing, suppose it was back home at the Kamuzu stadium we could have been charged as it is always the case” explained Msungama.

According to the Bullets Chair, about eight officials and executive members will leave for Comoros Island on Thursday while the rest of the squad is expected to arrive on Saturday.

“Tickets and all the passports are here with me as I am talking and everything has been finalized; come Saturday we will all be in Comoros” he said.

Meanwhile, Msungama said the players are upbeat and have promised to put up a gallant fight and win the match.

“The players said they are aiming to win the match to silence the critics at home who are talking a lot of things against us” he said.

Bullets players have since demanded an increase on their allowances for their CAF Champions League preliminary first-round match against Fomboni in the Comoros next Saturday.

The team offered the players 250 dollars (K120 000 each) for their week-long sojourn ahead of the encounter, but the 17 players want twice as much.
